Grammy-nominated producer and artist Murda Beatz has inked a global distribution deal with ADA Worldwide, the independent label and artist services arm of Warner Music Group.
Murda Beatz’s first single within the new agreement – One Shot – debuted on Friday January 14, featuring Blxst and multi-Platinum rapper Wale.
Born Shane Lee Lindstrom, from Fort Erie, Ontario, Murda Beatz has worked on over 40 Platinum and multi-Platinum singles, over 25 Billboard No. 1 albums, and has over 11 billion streams on songs he’s been involved with, says ADA.
Last year, he produced Chlöe’s Have Mercy and Polo G’s Rap Star, as well as making XXL’s ‘Best Hip Hop Producers of 2021’ list.
He’s worked with artists including Migos, Nicki Minaj, and Cardi B.
ADA says that 2022 is lining up to be “another big year” for Murda Beatz, having launched his own NFT on crypto.com that sold out in 14 minutes, putting him in top five creators on the site.
Murda Beatz is also nominated for a 2022 Grammy for Best Pop/Vocal Album with production on the Ariana Grande album Positions.
In 2021, Marcus Siskind joined ADA as Head of US, while Adriana Sein was appointed Head of International.
In July 2021, the company also expanded into Russia and Italy, and followed the 2020 launches of teams covering Benelux, Latin America, Portugal and Spain, Asia,Japan, and France.
