Downtown Music Publishing has formed a strategic partnership with Next Era Music Publishing, a boutique publishing house which describes itself as “the biggest independent you have never heard of.”
The partnership seeks to streamline collection and administration for Next Era’s roster of songwriters while also opening up new opportunities for them on a global scale.
Amsterdam-based Next Era Music Publishing has a catalog of “diverse and influential” music, including works like Juicy, Getting Jiggy Wit It, I’ll House You, and If I Ruled the World, which was written by The Trackmasters and used on Drake’s Screw The World – Interlude on the For All The Dogs album.
Next Era represents writers such as The Trackmasters, Nick Vall and Laidback Luke, as well as next-generation stars like Young Ellens, TJWave, and Merow, among others.
Downtown Music Publishing will represent the Next Era catalog worldwide for administration and collection, excluding Korea and China. This partnership will expand Downtown’s reach into the Netherlands.
“We are very excited about the endless possibilities that this partnership with Downtown Music Publishing brings to the table,” said Olga Heijns, Managing Director of Next Era Music Publishing.
“This collaboration not only strengthens our commitment to supporting artists globally but also opens up exciting prospects for the vibrant music scene in the Netherlands.”
