The Head of International at Sony Music India is a strategic leadership role focused on maximizing the revenue of Sony Music Entertainment‘s (SME) international repertoire in the Indian market.
This role is responsible for creating comprehensive marketing plans and building innovative opportunities/platforms for global artists and songs, with the goal of increasing awareness, expanding the audience/fan base, and extending the reach of Sony Music’s international front line releases in India.
You will work on breaking international artists in the Indian market, whilst also leading the strategy for big names such as Harry Styles, Beyonce and many many more. The Head of International will lead efforts to develop and nurture a thriving fan community for international music artists, engaging and connecting with fans across various digital platforms, fostering a sense of community, and driving fan loyalty.
We are looking for a digitally savvy leader, with a background and passion for developing and engaging Gen Z audiences across multiple platforms. You need to be creative with a flair for producing relevant content to drive fan engagement. You will be able to lead and develop your team and encourage their creative and marketing ideas, whilst using your own experience to develop and drive their ambitions and careers. You will be part of the senior leadership team and report into the Managing Director in India.
This is a relocation opportunity to join one of the fastest growing emerging markets in the global music industry. We are looking for candidates with experience in western markets, individuals that have strong digital and content backgrounds, with a love for international repertoire. We are open to candidates who are looking for a short term (3 years) opportunity to live and work abroad.

Who you are
- Demonstrable experience in leading, developing and executing successful multicultural marketing campaigns at a regional scale in a creative industry
- You must be willing to relocate to Mumbia, India.
- Digital Marketing and engagement: Ability to deliver campaigns and experiences, drive consumption and increase engagement through digital platforms
Fandom Management: Ability to build and grow a community of followers and monetise it through a variety of on-line and off-line channels - Data Literacy: Ability to analyse the music market and relevant data and apply insights to make decisions to drive / improve results
- Strategic planning: Ability to define a strategy and a set of priorities, develop an execution plan and allocate the resources to different projects to make it happen
- Relationship management: Build trusting and long-lasting relationships with artists and their ecosystem, as well as with external and internal stakeholders; creating a network of connections and building credibility and rapport at all levels of the business
- Cultural awareness: Understand popular culture and the underlying cultural patterns and factors that influence behaviours in different teams and countries
- Interests: Passion for music and a understanding of various genres and music cultures
