CreateSafe’s artificial intelligence-powered music tech studio TRINITI has teamed up with music production platform SOUNDS.STUDIO to provide AI music creation and services for musicians and artists.
Starting Tuesday (December 19), SOUNDS.STUDIO will integrate TRINITI’s AI technology into its platform, allowing users to create and distribute music all in one place. This includes access to the GrimesAI voice model, which was developed by CreateSafe in collaboration with the artist Grimes.
The Canadian singer, songwriter and record producer Grimes launched her project with CreateSafe in May, using TRINITI to clone her voice and inviting users to create songs using that clone in exchange for a 50% share of the master recording royalties.
Over 1,000 songs have been created since the platform’s launch, propelling Grimes to Time Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People in AI 2023.”
TRINITI’s new collaboration with SOUNDS.STUDIO will incorporate the GrimesAI voice model into users’ music. This allows distribution of the voice model to major DSPs through TRINITI’s distribution channels.
CreateSafe, co-founded by Daouda Leonard, Grimes’ manager, says it seeks to create a transparent music industry. As an applied research studio, CreateSafe develops tools and protocols for artists to automate the creation, distribution, and marketing of music IP. The company’s portfolio includes products like the Record Deal Simulator and Droplink.
CreateSafe says its partnership with Grimes brought new creative tools to the public, including its Record Deal Simulator, meant to address historically “murky” contracts. CreateSafe’s latest GenAI music platform, TRINITI, provides creation, publishing, administration, distribution, and marketing services. It prioritizes artist-focused business models over the current “algorithmic obsession,” said CreateSafe.
“Both SOUNDS.STUDIO and TRINITI have a shared ethos for how AI can be harnessed to augment rather than replace musicians and are dedicated to building tools that enable new forms of creativity in the age of AI,” said Chris Deaner, Co-Founder of Never Before Heard Sounds and SOUNDS.STUDIO.
“When creating new forms of music technology, the artist must remain front and center, so we sought out partners that were value-aligned.”

SOUNDS.STUDIO describes itself as a “modern music production platform” powered by machine learning. It says it uses assistive and generative AI to unlock new sounds and inspire a new generation of creators.
“In partnering with SOUNDS.STUDIO, we move one step closer to closing the gap between creation and distribution through technology,” CreateSafe’s Leonard said.
“We are using the knowledge we’ve gained over the past half-decade to streamline a process that enables artists, producers, songwriters—whether amateur or professional—to access cutting edge genAI music tools and release sanctioned derivative works that embody our trained voice models.”

Together we’re opening up a new era in imagination and monetization of creativity.”
The new platform is available to all creatives, musicians, producers, DJs, and sound designers.
In addition to SOUNDS.STUDIO, CreateSafe also partnered with music technology platform Slip.stream in October to allow creators to incorporate over 200 GrimesAI songs in their videos, podcasts and livestreams on any platform. Additionally, Grimes and CreateSafe teamed up with Believe-owned TuneCore in June to let artists distribute collaborations created through Grimes’ Elf.Tech.
The latest development came about a month after CreateSafe raised $4.6 million in seed funding to roll out TRINITI. The funding round was led by Polychain Capital, a cryptocurrency and blockchain tech investment firm, with additional backing from Crush Ventures, Anthony Saleh (manager of Kendrick Lamar, Nas and Gunna), Paris Hilton (11:11 Media), MoonPay, Chaac Ventures, Unified Music Group, and Dan Weisman (VP, Bernstein Private Wealth Management).
Grimes joined CreateSafe’s advisory board following the financing round.
