Charles Goldstuck is the Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of Hitco Entertainment. The catalog of Hitco was sold to Concord in September 2022.
An entrepreneur and investor, Goldstuck is also the founder of The Sanctuary at Albany, a recording studio and music academy in the Bahamas.
During his time as a music executive, Goldstuck has worked with artists including Usher, Leona Lewis, Rod Stewart, Foo Fighters, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Annie Lennox, and Maroon 5.
Charles Goldstuck: Career beginnings
Charles Goldstuck’s first foray into entertainment was promoting artists on campus while at university in South Africa. After qualifying as an accountant, he worked for Ernst & Young on music accounts, before moving to Warner‘s music publishing arm.
Goldstuck joined Capitol Records in 1993, rising to the position of Executive Vice President. In 1998 he moved back to New York to become Executive Vice President/General Manager of Arista Records.
Charles Goldstuck: J Records, BMG and Hitco
Charles Goldstuck left Arista to co-found J Records with Clive Davis in 2000. Goldstuck served as President and COO of J Records before it was bought by BMG at the end of 2002, when J Records and RCA merged to form the RCA Music Group.
In February 2004, Goldstuck was named President of BMG. At BMG, Goldstuck was responsible for overseeing the business operations of the BMG music labels, which included the RCA Music Group, J Records, Arista Records as well as the Zomba Label group, working with artist such as Usher, Alicia Keys, Leona Lewis, Dave Matthews Band, Foo Fighters, Sarah McLachlan, Rod Stewart and Annie Lennox.
In 2018, Goldstuck teamed up with L.A. Reid to found Hitco Entertainment. The label’s signings have included Big Boi from Outkast and Dinah Jane from Fifth Harmony, as well as SAINT JHN and Yella Beezy.Music Business Worldwide
