Title: AR Generalist
Hours: 40/week, Monday – Friday, 9am-6pm
Location: Brooklyn, NY, or Bloomington, IN
Reports to: AR Supervisor

Position Summary
This entry level position supports the AR team in providing timely and accurate accounting services to affiliated companies with a focus on Secretly Distribution customer accounts.
Responsibilities
- Invoice prior business day shipments of CDs and LPs to various retail and wholesale customers
- Process customer credit card payments via online merchant services portal
- Invoice shipping, freight and insurance costs to customers & reconcile daily third-party shipping/freight charges for payment
- Apply customer receipts made by paper check, wire, ACH, PayPal, and credit card
- Process adjustments to customer accounts for mis-shipments of shortages/overages, and damage claims
- Communicate as needed with customers on account balances, payments, and past due amounts
- Provide support to Secretly Distribution sales and warehouse teams by answering questions, providing requested information and resolving disputes
- Maintain accurate account balances for assigned customers, reconcile and audit balances as needed
- Place past due accounts on Ship Hold with approval of AR Supervisor
- Update changes to Policy and Procedure Documents associated with responsibilities
- Complete other assignments as directed including sales ingestions and other collection efforts

- Proven ability to succeed in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Advanced computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
- College degree preferred
- Some accounting coursework or prior experience preferred
