Job Title: Vice President, Global Marketing Services
Your role:
Lead marketing service functions within Global Marketing. The role will execute digital marketing against high priority artists as well as being responsible for educating and supporting the direction of associated local and regional teams across our global company.
Standard paid-digital marketing practices: paid media, creators, creative Marketing elements of DSP relationships (partnering with Commercial and BD team to support or lead where relevant) Original and high potential digital marketing formats to support ‘white glove’ artist campaigns Newer approaches to scaled, low-touch digital marketing that supports long-tail marketing (i.e. AI, product variations such as LTVs or alternative versions like sped-up / slowed down, playlist marketing, UGC, automated investment programmes) in partnership with Business Development, Technology and other relevant teams.
Here you’ll get to
Standard Paid Digital Marketing:
- Oversee a multi-million-dollar annual marketing budget (cash and credits).
- Lead execution of global in-house advertising and content operations.
- Consistent improvement of all standard paid digital marketing processes both within Global Marketing and across the wider WMG company (i.e. addressing areas of unnecessary duplication, identifying where scale or scope advantages can be achieved, defining optimum local <> regional <> global workflow).
- Partnering with the data team to develop attribution modelling, performance reporting and benchmarking.
- Paid media and creator agency relationship management.
- Oversee Marketing Analytics software to drive usage and product improvements.
- Assess paid media and content skills on a global basis and build educational programs to upskill.
DSP Marketing (in partnership with EVP Commercial):
- Support WMG’s best in class relationships and utilization of marketing features on platforms (paid ad-formats, lenses etc).
- Oversee the distribution and analysis of DSP ad-credits or marketing programs.
- Provide recommendations and direction for marketing requirements as needed by the Business Development team in commercial deal negotiations.
“White Glove” Innovation:
- Partner with BD on social, streaming, and emerging deals to deliver new, high-touch and impactful digital marketing formats for WMG’s key priority artists.
Long-Tail Innovation:
- Lead scaled marketing operations.
- Partner with BD and Technology on deals to further develop long-tail, low-touch marketing programmes.
General:
- Build relationships with key digital executives both outside the company (DSP’s, Emerging technologies etc) and inside the company .
- Team management.
- Handle executive leadership requests for presentations, decks, strategy, analysis.
- Oversee deal negotiations or renewals as required with external vendors.
About you
- 10+ year’s experience in a marketing role in music, content or technology companies
- Experience planning and executing impactful multi-territory digital marketing campaigns
- Strong data proficiency and ability to interpret data to make strategic recommendations
- Exceptional operational, presentation and communication skills
- Proven experience leading a team or department
- Proven entrepreneurial mind-set
