FUGA, a leading international digital music distribution platform headquartered in Amsterdam, is currently looking for a Managing Director to set up, build and manage its new offices in Italy.
Your key responsibility is growing FUGAs Italian client-base and managing FUGAs operations in Italy. Main components of the day to day business are:
- Managing and overseeing all aspects related to FUGAs overseas distribution-, marketing- and sales services in Italy
- Manage and expand local client base
- Implementing the necessary processes for FUGA to sell its products and services in Italy and to perform required after sales service
- Managing contract negotiations and process with Italian clients
- Implement necessary operational client support
- Manage all back-office and administrative aspects related to the local entity
- Implement product and service policies defined by the HQ in Amsterdam
- Reporting to FUGAs CEO
Requirements
- University degree (preferably in Business, Economics or Music/Entertainment)
- Ten or more years of experience in the music industry, of which at least three years carrying end-responsibility for a (small) business and or team
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Experience in working in an international environment and board-facing presence
- Able to pro-actively and upon request report to the management team at HQ
- Organizational and motivational skills
- Strong client network and strong at growing and maintaining client relationships
- Experience working with independent music labels and understanding their needs
- Native Italian speaker, excellent English-speaking skills
