Job description – International Assistant
Cooking Vinyl is looking for an International Assistant to join one of the world’s best established indie record companies.
The position will work closely with our International and UK marketing teams, as well as our distributor to develop comprehensive marketing plans with a global reach.
Reporting to the Head Of International, the individual will be responsible for dealing with the day to day requirements of the International Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Collecting sales figures from partners and collating then into sales and streaming reports
- Send set-up information and assets to our international partners
- Coordinate all aspects of international promotion including arranging interviews etc within deadlines
- Be the first point of contact for international partners’ questions and queries
- All aspects of stock control including processing orders in a timely fashion including awareness of release dates.
- Liaise with freight couriers for quotes and to organize shipping
- Create and supply commercial invoices
- Keep international release schedule up to date and circulated weekly
- Attend CV artists shows as much as possible
- Create sales sheets for our international partners
- Assist other areas of the company when required
- Keep a record of where stock has been sent and the progress of stock deliveries
- Coordinate tour stock shipments and invoicing with managers and partners
- Updating the gig guide
- Keep an eye on stock levels and coordinate with the catalogue department on what may need to be reordered
- Provide general admin assistance to the international department including but not limited to filing press cuttings and promo reports, diary coordination and circulating presentations
Requirements
- Passionate about music and driven to excel within the industry.
- Highly organized, adaptable and capable of juggling multiple tasks.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet business requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Good familiarity of using word, excel and google docs preferred
- Good with people.
- Experience in the music industry within a distributor, record label or management company preferred but not essential.
- Basic capabilities with Photoshop for marketing asset creation.
- Relationship building skills and a team-oriented approach.
