Creative Front-End Web Designer Beggars Group
Job Summary
Beggars Group is looking for a Front-End Web Designer to join its global marketing team. This position reports directly into the VP, US Marketing but will work across the global group. We are open to applicants to work in either our New York or London office.
The Creative Front-End Designer will be instrumental in working on designing and developing artist and campaign centric websites. The role will serve as a key point of contact for artists, labels and assigned project team members in ensuring great design, front-end development and deployment of artist and label web/digital properties. The position is accountable for working with our creative web developer in the US to fulfill requests across the global group. This position will ensure that our artists sites development abide by their scheduled deadlines.
The position will need to build strong relationships seamlessly across various internal departments (ie.marketing, labels, art & creative), external vendors and freelancers. The Creative Front-End Web Designer will have the “know-how” to effortlessly present ideas and communicate needs/priorities to a wide range of audiences (ie. artistic/creative and technical/analytical). Our ideal candidate will be passionate about independent music, art and design (+++ if they have knowledge and appreciation for our artists/labels) and enjoy collaborating with highly creative individuals in a fast-paced environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Creative, design, and front-end development of Beggars label’s web/digital initiatives and artists-campaign projects
- Manage and communicate with other departments on fulfilling day-to-day tasks/requests in our project management system (Asana)
- Provide design templates and layouts for our email marketing platform (Sendy) and other CRM tools to support artists and label campaign
- Collaborate with IT team in managing the set-up process and pipeline for new internally hosted websites
- QA and testing of all web properties to ensure they’re optimized for mobile and all commonly used browsers
- Provide consultation and guidance to artists and labels on digital design/web strategy as well as troubleshooting through design/technical issues
- Maintain strong familiarity with current online creative trends, tools, platforms and proactively share ideas and recommendations
- Develop relationships and strong lines of communication across group departments and labels to proactively determine forthcoming web dev opportunities or needs
- Maintain relationships with outside developers/designers for special projects
Skills & Experience we’re looking for
- At least 2 years demonstrated professional experience designing and developing websites
- Front end: HTML, CSS, Javascript, Jquery
- Backend dev knowledge a plus: PHP, MySql, React
- Proficiency with creative suites: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Figma, Adobe XD, Font kit and or other creative tools
- Knowledge of widely used creative website platforms like Squarespace, Cargo, Webflow, Framer
- Knowledge of working within AWS hosting environment
- Experience using GitHub for version control
- Experience laying out with email marketing templates for CRM Platforms like sendy, Amazon SES, mailchimp, campaign monitor)

The base salary range for this position in New York is $62,000 – $67,000 plus annual bonus potential. The actual base salary depends on a variety of factors, which may include, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, tenure at the company (for current employees), and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
Compensation decisions are dependent on circumstances of each hire. Salary in the UK is competitive based on market rate and experience.
