BandLab unveils new branding for artist services platform ReverbNation

Just weeks after rebranding its Cakewalk music production software, Singapore-based BandLab Technologies has also introduced a new brand identity for its artist services platform ReverbNation.

ReverbNation will undergo a complete visual overhaul, featuring a new logo and a revamped website.

The change comes less than three weeks after BandLab rebranded Cakewalk.

BandLab acquired ReverbNation from eMinor, Inc. in November 2021 for an undisclosed sum. The unit offers digital distribution, as well as career management and online marketing tools for indie artists.

“Driven by an unwavering passion to empower artists, ReverbNation has consistently offered a wealth of tools and opportunities, enabling musicians that choose to stay independent to distribute their music, amplify their voices and grow their fanbase,” said BandLab Technologies CEO & Co-founder Meng Ru Kuok.

He added: “As we empower more creators at unprecedented levels around the world, we see it our responsibility to continue to invest in the flourishing independent artist ecosystem and its future as well. This new look is in keeping with that dedication.

“Additionally, ReverbNation will build further on our current feature set, create additional roles to enrich our artist services offerings as well as further opportunities and develop better funnels for our artists to connect with professional management, labels, and teams to support their musical careers.”

The rebranding of ReverbNation and Cakewalk follows the closing of BandLab $25 million raise as part of its Series B1 funding round, resulting in a post-money valuation of $425 million.

“This substantial investment will further enhance BandLab Technologies’ unwavering dedication to accessible music-making and pioneering innovation in the industry,” the company said.

ReverbNation and Cakewalk are among BandLab’s recent strategic acquisitions to expand its offerings to artists.

It also acquired MusicTech, MusicTech Focus, The Guitar Magazine, Guitar Classics, www.musictech.net and www.theguitarmagazine.com from UK-based Anthem Publishing in 2018, and UK-based live video streaming startup Chew in 2017.

In 2019, it acquired Uncut and another long-running UK music media brand, NME, from London-based TI Media. But in May of this year, BandLab sold Uncut to Kelsey Media.

Most recently in February, BandLab bought beat marketplace Airbit.
