Pulse Music Group has renewed a multi-year deal with Maria Egan to stay on as President and Head of Creative and a partner in the company.
Egan is responsible for overseeing the company’s creative strategy and runs its powerhouse A&R team.
She will also continue to build Pulse’s management roster and develop projects for the Pulse branded label.
Egan has led the company’s drive into the Latin music market and played an integral role in the formation of Pulse’s partnerships with Marc Anthony’s Magnus Media and Nas’ Mass Appeal.
Egan also recently co-founded REBOOT, a community for female creators. The REBOOT initiative hosts expert workshops and gatherings with a mission to support women in the creative community and highlight how they can lead in the creative process.
At Pulse, Egan has built an A&R team responsible for signing hit artists and songwriters including Starrah, Tyler Johnson, El_P and Rich The Kid.
Egan and the team are also supporting key signings from Pulse’s publishing ventures with Rick Rubin, Creative Nation and Magnus Media.
Recent hits from Pulse writers include Maroon 5’s Girls Like You feat. Cardi B via Starrah (tied for the longest run at No.1 on the Billboard Radio Songs chart this century, RIAA Platinum); Camila Cabello’s Havana feat. Young Thug via Starrah (No.1 Billboard Hot 100, RIAA 6X Platinum) and Travis Scott’s Sicko Mode feat. Drake via OZ (No.1 Billboard Hot 100, Urban, and Rhythmic Radio, RIAA 5X Platinum) & the record breaking Latin hit Despacito.

In September 2018 Pulse promoted Joe Poindexter to Senior Vice President, Digital after over six years with the company.
