BeatStars, an online marketplace for buying and selling beats, has partnered with Resonant Cavity, the developer of mobile studio and vocal effects app Voloco, to integrate their features for music artists and creators.
The initial integration, set to roll out in January 2024, will introduce a suite of features with the aim of enhancing accessibility, creativity and productivity for musicians of all skill levels, the companies said.
Voloco, with over 67 million downloads and 500,000 beats played daily, provides a range of tools for musicians, songwriters, and vocalists worldwide. Creators can use the app to remove background noise, correct the pitch of their voice, and add a variety of vocal effects to their recordings.
The app also has a library of free beats and samples that creators can use to create their own music.
Through the partnership, Voloco users will be able to browse and try out beats from BeatStars’ catalog directly within the Voloco app. Users can also share ideas with friends and collaborate with other creators to produce viral hits.
“Our collaboration with BeatStars will bring the best beat catalog into the most powerful mobile recording studio.”

“Our collaboration with BeatStars will bring the best beat catalog into the most powerful mobile recording studio,” said Patrick Flanagan, Founder and CEO of Resonant Cavity.
“As artists experience studio-quality vocals from Voloco over top-tier beats from BeatStars producers, they’re going to be inspired to create something exceptional.”
The latest partnership comes as BeatStars continues to expand its offerings in the music creation space. Backed by Sony Music Publishing, BeatStars earlier this year said it had paid out $250 million to its members through its marketplace and publishing services to date. In its first year, BeatStars said it paid out $16 million to music rightsholders.
“Our mission is to empower creators in every way possible – integrating with Voloco will bring our community closer to a totally accessible, one-stop ecosystem for trying out beats and encouraging collaboration.”

In July, the company partnered with AI music startup Lemonaide. Founded in 2021 by hip-hop artist Michael “MJ” Jacob, Lemonaide has developed an AI-powered plug-in that generates ideas for beats.
Following that partnership, BeatStars launched its own AI music creation tool called ‘Seeds by Lemonaide.’ The tool is aimed at helping creators generate initial ideas, or “plant seeds,” for their tracks.
Commenting on the latest partnership with Resonant Cavity, Abe Batshon, Founder and CEO of BeatStars, said, “Our mission is to empower creators in every way possible – integrating with Voloco will bring our community closer to a totally accessible, one-stop ecosystem for trying out beats and encouraging collaboration.”
“We’re thrilled to partner with the talented team at Resonant Cavity to bring mobile convenience, innovation and inspiration to our community.”
