“I’ve seen production in Brazil grow tremendously since I started out in this business, and I know this is just the beginning. I’m grateful to the Warner Chappell team for trusting me to lead the charge with production music as we head into this next chapter,” said Moraes.
He will lead WCPM Brazil’s efforts to expand the company’s footprint by offering its repertoire, which includes more than 190,000 tracks and sound design, to the many film, television, radio, and advertising customers in the area.
WCPM Brazil says it will also offer personalized music services and pursue more extensive creative collaborations in the market.
“Renato is arriving at such an important time, and his expertise will greatly complement Warner Chappell’s existing sync efforts in Brazil.”

Commenting on Moraes’ appointment, Flávia Cesar, added: “Renato is arriving at such an important time, and his expertise will greatly complement Warner Chappell’s existing sync efforts in Brazil. We are excited to expand our presence even more and tap into the thriving local production music market.”
Brazil’s music industry has grown over the past years amid efforts by authorities to crack down on music piracy.
In 2021, Brazil’s revenue from music streaming services rose 32%, and together with Mexico, it accounted for 66.5% of Latin America’s streaming revenue during that year, according to the IFPI’s 2022 Global Music Report.
Sinéad Hartmann said: “We are collectively excited to be in a position to cater to this vast pool of clients in one of the most musically rich and vibrant countries in the world. Renato has the perfect skillset to see our Brazilian business bloom to the fullest extent possible.”
WCPM’s expansion to Brazil came over a year after it launched its global rebrand that includes a new logo that draws inspiration from its parent company WCM.
“We have a strong legacy in the production music business and are always striving to keep innovating. This new branding reflects the creativity and ingenuity that resides at the core of our business,” Head of WCPM UK, Roberto Borzoni, said at the time.
Every year, WCPM releases over 500 new albums across more than 135 catalogs (bi-weekly). It represents more than 190,000 tracks spanning numerous genres as well as classical and orchestral, modern underscore, jazz, trailer, sound design, world and archival music.
The company has composed music for numerous TV shows, films, trailers, and commercials and recent collaborations include trailers for BLONDE, Honk For Jesus. Save Your Soul. and The Northman; and TV placements for Justice League, Cruella, Loki, The Mandalorian, and Emily in Paris.
