Warner Chappell Music UK has signed a global publishing deal with English record producer, DJ and songwriter Nia Archives.
Last year was Nia Archives’ breakout year with her Forbidden Feelingz EP. The track has to date racked up more than 19 million streams on Spotify. Nia Archives has over 1.7 million monthly listeners on the streaming platform.
Born and raised in West Yorkshire, Archives relocated to Manchester at age 16 and has become part of the local rave scene.
Her first single, Sober Feels, was released in 2020. The track generated over 10 million streams on Spotify. She then launched her debut EP, Headz Gone West, the following year. The title track amassed more than 7 million streams.
Nia Archives has collaborated with Watch the Ride on Mash up the Dance and CLIPZ, Beenie Man, Cristale and ShaSimone on No Time. She also released two further solo records with So Tell Me… and Bainá which also has more than 10 million streams.
Her music has received airplay on BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra, BBC 6 Music, KISS, and Rinse, and has been supported by Amazon Music, Apple Music and Spotify.
She has won several major awards last year, including the MOBO for Best Electronic/Dance Act and Best Producer at the NME Awards. She was also named DJ Mag’s Breakthrough Producer of the Year, BBC’s Introducing Artist Of The Year, and AIM‘s One to Watch, and shortlisted for the BRIT Awards 2023 Rising Star Award.
Nia Archives is the latest artist to ink a worldwide publishing deal with Warner Chappell. The company’s recent signings include Grammy-nominated country singer/songwriter Zach Bryan in February, Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum global superstar Cardi B in late 2021, and British DJ, producer and songwriter Toddla T, also in late 2021.
