Warner Chappell Music has entered into a publishing partnership with Connection Music Publishing, a newly formed publishing entity created by Daniel Glass, founder and President of independent label Glassnote Records.
According to Warner Chappell, the pact will bring together its “global resources with Connection’s independent sensibilities” through “strategic administration agreements” with both rising talent and global stars.
Connection Music Publishing was founded in early 2021 by Daniel Glass and Chris Scully, General Manager and Chief Financial Officer of Glassnote Records.
Publishing industry-veteran Jackie Post was appointed Head of Publishing of the new company, bringing with her a long history of music publishing experience, most recently at Kobalt.
The first songwriter signed to Connection Music under this joint venture is Edie Bens, a 21-year-old songwriter from Wales.
Her debut release is due out next year.
Glassnote Records is home to artists including Mumford & Sons, Phoenix, CHVRCHES, AURORA and Jade Bird.
