Distribution and services company Ingrooves Music Group has appointed Chris Haaland as Country Manager of Ingrooves Norway.
The move follows Ingrooves’ recent expansions into Brazil (Sao Paolo), Turkey (Istanbul) and Japan (Tokyo) earlier this year – a pattern of global expansion that has been set in motion following the company’s acquisition by Universal Music Group (UMG) in Q1 2019.
Haaland joins Ingrooves from The Orchard, where for the past two years he headed up the company’s Nordic Label management team.
Previously he worked in a number of positions for Warner Music in both the Oslo and London offices, serving most recently as Senior Consumer Relations Manager.
“Over the past few years, Ingrooves has developed a best-in-class technology platform and a deep well of expertise that set new standards in our industry,” said Haaland.
“I’m so happy to be leading the company’s team in Norway and look forward to growing our business throughout the region.”
“Chris brings with him a wealth of experience and strong relationships that make him the perfect person to lead our Oslo office.”
