S10 Publishing, Brandon Silverstein’s music publishing division, and Avex USA, the US arm of Japanese music company Avex Inc., have signed a multi-year extension to the two company’s joint venture publishing partnership.
In its first year in existence, the partnership has led to several signings, a Billboard Hot 100 #1 with Justin Bieber’s Peaches, co-written by S10 Publishing’s Harv, and over 8 billion streams for songs that S10 publishing publishes, says the company.
S10 now publishes the writers of hits for acts such as Justin Bieber, Kid Laroi, Bad Bunny, Selena Gomez, DJ Snake, Bella Poarch, Anitta, Normani, Skrillex, 24kGoldn, John Legend, Drake, Rihanna, Future, Lil Baby, Juice WRLD and Travis Scott.
Avex USA’s operations encompass Avex USA Publishing, record label SELENE, and the music start up investment program Future of Music Investment Fund.
The fund made early investments in WaveXR, which also attracted investment from Scooter Braun and Justin Bieber, and has hosted virtual streams with The Weeknd.
S10 is a full-service management, music publishing, record label and investment company founded by entertainment executive Brandon Silverstein with offices and studios in Los Angeles and New York.
Silverstein also manages the careers of Normani and Brazilian pop star Anitta, who recently signed a global deal with Sony Music Publishing.
The partnership began when Avex expanded into the US in April last year with the launch of Avex USA, led by the President Naoki Osada.
