Independent publisher and record label ABKCO, which controls catalogues from The Rolling Stones, Sam Cooke and more, has a new COO.
Alisa Coleman steps up from her previous role as Senior EVP at the New York-based company.
She first joined ABKCO in 1985 and has since worked in every division of the company, finding inventive and financially rewarding ways to introduce ABKCO’s song and film catalogue to new generations.
Recent highlights of her career include inking a global deal for Sam Cooke classic ‘Bring It On Home To Me’ for an international Coca-Cola ad in 2015.
Coleman also led the creation of ABKCO’s soundtrack division in 2007, with recent notable releases include David O. Russell’s “Joy,” released Christmas 2015 and Wes Anderson’s “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” which won the 2015 Oscar and GRAMMY awards for its score.
In addition to her work at ABKCO, Coleman sits on the board of the AIMP (Ass’n of Independent Music Publishers).Music Business Worldwide
