Concerts giant Live Nation has launched in the Philippines via the acquisition of Manilla-based promoter, Music Management International (MMI).
Rhiza Pascua has also been appointed to the role of Managing Director Live Nation Philippines.
MMI, led by Pascua, was established over 20 years ago, and is now a prominent promoter in the Philippines.
The company has promoted concerts in the territory for artists such as Madonna, Coldplay, U2, Harry Styles, Bruno Mars and more.
Live Nation and MMI previously entered into a partnership in 2014 to promote concerts in the Philippines.
Roger Field, President of Live Nation Asia Pacific, said in a statement that Live Nation has “a long-standing and successful relationship with MMI,” and that the launch of Live Nation Philippines “is the natural next step in our committed growth in the Asia Pacific region”.
Live Nation’s launch in the territory follows February’s news that the company generated quarterly revenues of $2.7 billion across all divisions, including concerts, ticketing and advertising & sponsorship in Q4 2021 (ended December 31).
The firm’s annual revenues topped $6.3 billion in 2021.
