What you’ll be doing
Working under the direction of the Head of Catalogue, the role offers the opportunity for you to develop and acquire skills and experience in catalogue planning and content creation. In this role you will assist in the planning of the [PIAS] release schedule as well as the organization and processing of all parts required for production and manufacturing. Delivering impactful and creative marketing campaigns.
Key Deliverables
- To ensure the smooth running of release planning and manufacturing for a variety of [PIAS] catalogue and international repertoire.
- Create and deliver marketing strategy plans that drive given turnover and profit targets. Help build a reputation for excellence in the field of music marketing.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assist the Head of Catalogue on all aspects of reissues and back catalogue campaigns.
- Manage and coordinate origination of physical and digital releases, making sure all parts for production are delivered within set and agreed deadlines.
- Work closely with the Integral Supply Chain Team on the timely canvassing of initial orders.
- Collate and check metadata and production assets provided by repertoire teams.
- Build strong working relationships externally with [PIAS] Catalogue artists and their teams.
- Liaise with all teams contributing to overall project, including – production teams, international department, and artist management / designers communicating deadlines clearly to and ensure release dates are met and origination of product is completed within given deadlines.
- Initiate and implement global marketing campaigns for designated acts and manage a balance of projects that are being campaigned at any one time.
- Research current market and previous sales history for artist catalogues and developing new campaigns.
- Work with Sales to maximise new catalogue release sell-in and campaign opportunities at retail.
- Assist the Sync team by keeping licensing platforms, tools and databases up to date including the uploading of instrumentals and unreleased music.
- Generally, assist the global PIAS Label Group team on catalogue product and repertoire data related tasks.
Skills and Experience
- 2+ years’ experience in the music industry, within A&R and/or marketing is preferable.
- A high degree of attention to detail and accuracy is essential for this role.
- Methodical approach to work and experience of having to deliver to deadlines.
- Ability to learn new systems quickly and ability to work autonomously.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize own workload.
- Being organized and demonstrating an affinity with problem solving.
- Data analysis experience preferable.
- Be able to demonstrate effective relationship building with artists, artist managers, A&Rs, tour agents etc.
- Experience of working collaboratively with sales teams, promotion teams and other 3rd party services teams
- Sound knowledge of marketing and of the UK market, media, digital marketing, retail and technology
- Ability to manage marketing budgets and monitor their efficiency.
- Ability to construct and implement innovative marketing strategies and ideas.
