Title: Marketing/Production Coordinator

Location: Washington, DC
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:30am – 5:30pm
Salary: Dependent on experience

Reports to: Label Manager
Term: 1 year. Starting immediately through December 16, 2022 (parental leave cover)

Company summary:

Carpark Records is an independent record label based in Washington, D.C and New York City. Established in 1999, the label began in New York City as an outlet for up-and-coming IDM, ambient, and experimental sounds. Moving to D.C. in 2005 led to releases from new Baltimore acts bringing new international attention to the Carpark roster. After 21 years in business, the label continues to work with exciting, genre-bending bands across the world.

The role:
  • Maintaining and updating social media for Carpark, Carpark Publishing and Company
  • Creating and/or updating artist press, radio, tour and retail history
  • Compiling and sharing weekly updates with all partners
  • Assembling artist info for decks, physical one sheets, and more
  • Sending out asset emails to various partners
  • Managing the database
  • Oversee Carpark, Company, Wax Nine and Paw tracks Shops
    —– Compile orders
    —– Maintain inventory
    —– Mail order/shipping
    —– Respond to customer issues
  • Creating metadata for each release
  • Setting up releases with distributors
Who you are:
  • Familiarity with Carpark’s family of labels roster
  • You are well organized with excellent attention to detail
  • You have excellent time management and multi-tasking ability
  • You are self-driven and able to work independently
  • You are an excellent problem solver
  • You have experience with Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, all social media platforms (bonus if you have experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Dropbox and content management systems)
  • You have great verbal and written communication skills; and teamwork skills
Qualifications:
  • Previous music industry experience is a plus
  • 1-2 years experience at a record label preferred
