We’re building a world-class business development team and are looking for a hardworking self-starter that will help grow Spotify’s content and commercial partnerships worldwide.
You will develop, negotiate, close and lead strategic agreements that support Spotify’s mission and will positively impact our growth as an organization. This role is based in Spotify’s Los Angeles office and you will report to Music’s Business Development & Partnerships Lead. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music.

What you’ll do
- Help to define partner strategy and priorities, analyze existing partnerships, and identify new partnership opportunities
- Be the ‘go to’ person for partners’ needs, executing on the long-term partner relationship and ensuring that partnership commitments are met
- Manage the partner relationship across various org touchpoints, act as a first responder for the partner’s needs, define and complete long-term partner strategy
- Drive cross-functional teams towards deal objectives and coordinate with other relevant departments across the business, including interacting with senior internal executives from relevant functions (e.g. Premium, Product, Legal, Finance, Marketing, and Engineering)
- Build deep relationships inside partner organizations across all functions
- Identify new opportunities to grow partnerships and unlock additional value for both Spotify and our partners
- Represent Spotify at industry events and relay partner feedback and market intelligence to internal teams
- Work from our office in Los Angeles
Who you are
- 4-7+ years related experience
- You have business development and/or strategic partnerships experience with digital media/technology companies
- You have experience working with external partners and you have the ability to navigate large organizations, work cross-functionally, and build substantial contacts with decision-makers
- You have successfully managed complex partnerships with large companies, demonstrating an ability to think strategically about complicated business issues and recommend and execute strategic action plans
- You have previous experience with financial modeling and strategic analysis as well as a strong facility for negotiating contracts, interpreting legal documents, and working with attorneys to complete agreements
- You thrive working in a multifaceted, ever-changing, global, and multicultural environment
- You are an articulate professional with exceptional communication skills and strong influencing abilities who is comfortable collaborating with all levels of management (internally and externally)
- You are a great teammate with a collaborative attitude, a creative and strategic thinker with problem-solving and analytical skills
- You have a demonstrated track record of self-motivated performance and perseverance – you take the initiative and stay engaged for the long-term win

You are fluent in English. Knowledge of other languages is a plus
BA/BS degree with outstanding academic performance; MBA a plus
