Saban Music – Managing Director (US)

Saban is seeking a top Managing Director to work closely with the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to develop and lead a portfolio of Latin artist managers and management company subsidiaries.

The right executive will have a track record for delivery results through innovative thinking, integrated planning, inventive problem solving, and exceptional execution.

Investment Origination
  • Originate acquisition opportunities based on a global target market for Latin artists
  • Investment due diligence (financial, competitive, strategic, etc.)
  • Create quarterly and annual forecasts
  • Build a company infrastructure to support an aggressive business plan of artist managers
  • Drive performance resulting in strong revenue growth
  • Negotiate deals and contracts
  • Analyze and dissect portfolio performance in order to implement timely adjustments to business direction
  • Provide expert oversight across strategy development, contract negotiations/management, and marketing
  • Communicate with international markets to customize and ensure marketing campaigns are relevant to a global fan-base
  • Develop and maintain external partnerships and relationships; a proven ability to work with and influence a diversity of stakeholders at all levels internally and externally
  • Research, assemble and prepare data and special reports, analyzing and synthesizing information as needed
  • Create and manage budgets, periodic forecasts and all related matters of spending
REQUIREMENTS:  
  • 10+ years’ progressive experience in the contemporary Latin music scene and music marketplace
  • Ability to make key business recommendations and decisions
  • Experience working with big personalities
  • Strong existing relationships with labels, artists, and management companies in the Latin community
  • Deep knowledge of growth objectives of the music industry
  • Thorough understanding of strategic objectives of traditional and emerging media landscapes
  • Fluent and proficient  in English and Spanish
  • Business and transaction experience required
  • High energy, resiliency, and drive
  • Experience creating executive-level presentations with broader company support
  • Entrepreneurial, out-of-the box thinker, with a roll-up-your sleeves mentality and a collaborative hands-on approach
  • Highest level of integrity and judgement; trustworthy, credible and demonstrates a high level of tact and discretion
  • Exceptionally strong organizational and project management skills
  • Maintain an outstanding pristine reputation that will adequately represent the SABAN name to the outside world
